Charles Cloukey (1912-1931) was just 16 when his first story was published. He died at the age of 19 from Cholera. During that time he wrote eight short stories and one novel. His stories were noted for their brisk writing, clever ideas and a polished story-telling. One can only imagine what his reputation as a writer would have become if he had lived long.
